Our Care Programs

Fostering Creativity and Development

Frog Street

Frog Street is a leading provider of extensive early childhood education solutions that incorporate joyful, comprehensive, and evidence-backed solutions for child care centers, with a focus on ages birth to age 5. Frog Street curriculum is based on early brain research and provides intentional age-appropriate instruction that is aligned to both federal and state standards. Frog Street comprehensive, research-based programs integrate instruction across developmental domains and early learning disciplines.

Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline empowers us to be conscious of brain-body states in ourselves and children. It then provides us with the practical skills we need to manage our thoughts, feeling and actions.

With this ability to self-regulate, we are then able to teach children to do the same. By doing this, we help children who are physically aggressive (survival state) or verbally aggressive (emotional state) become more integrated so they can learn and use problem-solving skills (executive state). When we understand the brain state model, we can clearly see the importance of building our homes, schools and businesses on the core principles of safety, connection and problem-solving.

Risky Play

Outdoor play isn’t just physical. It also allows children to challenge themselves and become appraisers of risk. This, in turn, helps develop cognitive, social and emotional, and self-regulatory skills. As they climb up slides, jump over equipment, and chase each other, children learn to assess risk, devise a plan, and take action. They make decisions and problem solve when they face a challenging moment. They also learn to process and navigate their feelings and emotions. These actions build resilience as children experience success or challenges.

Staff to Child Ratios

Our staff are the heart of our program, and we take very seriously the matters of screening, hiring, developing, and supervising the excellent individuals who teach and care for your children.

The staff in each room includes:

One (1) Lead Teacher and One (1) Teacher: These are full-time employees with formal training in Early Childhood Education or a related field. All have earned or have a plan of study to earn at least one of the following: child development associate certificate, or an associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.

Teacher Assistant: These staff typically work full time and are under the supervision of a Lead Teacher within their team.

Substitute Teaching Assistant, Student Helpers and Volunteers: These individuals bring everything from an extra pair of loving arms to unique, specialized skills into the classroom.  (Link to ratio pdf)

Continuity of Care

Continuity of care enables children to stay with the same classmates and primary caregivers year after year, from the time they enter the Center through Preschool. Many parents find that this consistency over time gives their children a sense of comfort and stability as they form bonds with friends and caregivers who become an extension of their family.

For their final Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) year, children move to a new classroom and learn how to make new friends within the context of a safe, familiar environment. This process helps children to transition successfully to Kindergarten.
