The Corning Children's Center presents two premier events each year:
The Blue Moon Ball, held each January, is a high-spirited gala that includes a great array of food and drinks, an always-fabulous live band, dancing, live and silent auctions, and of course lots of good conversation and merriment.
Our 2011 Blue Moon Ball set new records for support and a good time was had by all.
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the next Blue Moon Ball, January 21, 2012 at the Corning Museum of Glass.
To learn more or reserve your tickets, call or email Jodi Turner at 607-937-5502 ext. 123.
Visiting Author, held each fall, features a noted children's author and illustrator who spends the day with our young learners reading familiar stories and drawing as they talk about their work. The center then sponsors a public reading with our partner, 171 Cedar Arts Center, so that children and families in our community can share this special contact with some of the best in the field of Children's Literature.
Guests have included:
2008 Vera Williams
2009 Suzanne Bloom
2010 Tedd Arnold
