Learning about Construction

From groundbreaking in May 2008 to occupancy in June 2009, children have had a front row seat in watching the construction process.

As they watched this project emerge children and staff learned the names and uses of a wide variety of construction vehicles.  They now know the differences between loaders, graders, excavators, compactors, dump trucks, cement trucks and cranes - to name a few.  They also learned about safety on and near work sites.

The new building was built on the empty lot to the east of our old building. That building has now been demolished (allowing insight into a different kind of project!) which will allow us to expand our park-like playground.
